Moved from Portugal to Canada Xbox series X doesn't work

Kindly try resetting the display by following the steps below:

“1. If there's a disc in the Xbox console, eject it.
2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.
3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until the second beep occurs.
4. In either case, this will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution you want from the Display dropdown.”

Fair enough, a slow internet connection is as good excuse as any.

Be aware however that while that drive will work on Series X, you won't be able to play Series X games directly from it. Series X games will require faster access and read speeds. My understanding is that the Series X games can be 'backed up' on an external
drive and then need to copied/moved over to either the internal SSD or the External SSD's that will be available for the machine.

The Series X will read and play Xbox One games from an external drive though.

You can use a hard drive that is USB 3.0 or 3.1 It doesn't have to be an SSD. I have a regular HDD myself and it works fine.

On the Series S/X, Series S/X games and upgraded One games will only run from the internal drive or the Seagate Expansion Card. You can still store the games on a USB storage device and move it to the internal to play if needed.

Anything that plays on xbox one (except kinect) will play on series X. You can also literally move a portable HDD and plug it into series x from day one
