Moved country, newly purchased game not working

Hi,

I bought my XBOX 360 while we used to live in Singapore.

Now we have moved to USA since past 3 years.

Since then we are facing problem purchasing new games as we keep getting Region Code error.

Today again we bought a game from a store and it turns out that it cannot be played on our XBOX 360 and is giving the error:

"This disc's region code is incorrect for this console"

This is so frustrating, what can we do to get rid of this errors?

Can Microsoft help us change the region code of our console so that we can make purchases of the new games?

Kids are getting frustrated with this issue.

Wont Accept Credit Card

No err code is shown. Simply wont confirm credit card info. Im in a country not in the US, but keeps asking state. What to do? Cant purchase xbox gold no newly purchased game! Stuck!!@!!!

The actual console region cannot be changed. You would have to purchase a new console in order to play physical discs purchased in the US.

For digital purchases, your account region has to match your physical location in order to download region locked games. So if you haven't already, you'd need to migrate your account region to the US. You'd want to make sure anything you already had downloaded
is downloaded beforehand so it will still work.

 

I have changed the account region.

It's the physical console and discs I am having problem with.

Doesn't microsoft provide some kind of service to exchange the console?

It does not make sense to buy a new one because I can't even sell this old one here in US.

This seems like a bully tactic for people like us who migrate to new country because of job change.
