Mouse/Keyboard functionality in Halo

Playing Halo MCC on Series X. Using Corsair mouse/keyboard.

1. System won’t allow me to shut off controller manually to save battery. (I can navigate with mouse and keyboard just fine). When I shut it off I get a message that I need to reconnect the controller to continue. I’ve tried changing several settings, including the preferred input setting.

2. When I leave controller on to allow the game to play, it times out…and then I get the same message as above.

3. I do the following to try to solve it: If I start the console with its own button (not the controller), I can open the game but cannot press [Enter] to start when prompted, so I can’t play.

How do I simply play mouse/keyboard enabled games without having to have the controller on? I’m not even trying to play multiplayer. Just working through all of the campaigns. Thanks!

If you turn off the controller and launch the game with the keyboard it won't happen. I just spent 4 hours trying to solve this and this was the only solution I found

It's basic keyboard and mouse drivers

For.what you want you would need offical supported mouse

If you want mouse and keyboard full support you should.usr a gaming pc

Even switch pro won't support gaming mouse's other then basic functions

Or if the mouse is designed for Linux you have to use the Linux functions of the steam os

If you are talking about using mouse and keyboard for gaming, that functionality has to be enabled by the developer of that game. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/ease-of-access/mouse-keyboard.
If it’s not enabeled by the developer you can’t use a mouse and keyboard.

It is a keyboard and mouse then isn't it and it's unlicenced and it never would be licenced. The mouse functions just like a mouse would in a P.C. game.

Any usb keyboard should function on the Xbox One. Are you trying to play a game using the keyboard/mouse or just for typing?
