Mouse flickering when using controller

Hi

I tried reseting my controller configurations on steam but nothing changed. I play Rocket League on Epic Games and only games that are from Epic Games have this problem with the mouse flickering when using my controller. Its like Epic Games recognises my controller as my mouse.

First, please tell me what brand of controller you are using? Are you playing "Rocket League" in Steam?



If you are playing games in Steam, your current problem may be caused by the incorrect layout of the controller buttons. If you have set custom controller button settings in Steam, please restore them to the default configuration.



1. Please open Steam

2. Click the Settings icon (gear icon) in the upper right corner. Select Controller Settings.

3. On the Controller Settings page, you will see a list of connected controllers. After selecting your controller, click Configure Controller.

4. You will see the profile currently set for the controller. On the Controller Configuration page, click Browse Configurations. Please use the preset configuration instead of a custom configuration.

5. Click Apply Configuration.



At the same time, some games also have controller configuration options within them. Make sure to select the default or recommended controller configuration in the in-game settings to avoid conflicts with Steam settings.

Hello again, i already tried it and still no progress

Already downloaded the new GPU drivers and i still get the same weird bug, i'm guessing this has something to do with windows but i'm hoping i don't have to reinstall.

To be more clear, i guess you can say my screen flickers? and gets kind of slow, also when i try to use my mouse when the screen is flickering i get loud beeping sounds.

When you change the aiming setting to "mouse", the game is preparing to use a full mouse and keyboard. If you don't have a mouse connected, the system won't be able to register aiming because it expects that input from the mouse, not the controller.

In order to keep an equal and fair multiplayer experience, you can only play with controllers on the Xbox One.

Games that work on the PC as well (like for example Gears of War 4) can be played with keyboard and mouse, but you can only play cooperative multiplayer with console owners that have to use controllers, so mouse and keyboard users don't have an advantage.

These XIM4 or Mayflash devices aren't real mouse and keyboard devices. These devices show themselves as a standard controller to the console, and when you move the mouse, the adaptor "guesses" from the speed you move the mouse, how hard it should push a
simulated controller stick in a certain direction.

These adaptors won't give you the same control as the mouse on a real PC.

When you stream the Xbox game screen to your PC, you can also only use a Xbox controller. Mouse and Keyboard won't work as a game input (you can only use the keyboard to enter text when the virtual keyboard is shown).

There are plans to get Keyboard and mouse working, if there ever is a way to stream the PC screen to the Xbox console.

But currently, if you're playing on the Xbox console, it's controller only (even if the controller is "guesstimated" with mouse and keyboard inputs).
