Most of my Xbox one disk games are not installing or even reading as if no disk at all is...

not realy, most of my games are installed, but you cannot play the game before the Xbox recognizes the disk., wich is the actual problem, the Xbox doesn' read the disks, unless after opening and closing the disk drive 20x (and more)

I constantly have disc read errors with this game

It either doesn't read at all and says "Open Tray" or I get "Unrecognized Disk"

It is aggravating as hell and only happened to me on this game

I even installed at and that was no help

Might be a factory disk issue but up until now I wasn't sure if it was just my Xbox or the disk

Xaerg - Do you have an old Xbox or one of the newer models?

If your friend has the game what you can so is install the game to your xbox so even thought he disk is scratched the game is installed to the xbox so all you do is pop in the disk an the xbox reads it as if it were new

I am having the same issue. All my other disk read perfectly normal. Sometime the MW3 disk reads great but most of the time it doesnt. I will sit there for a good 15-20 min opening and closing the disk tray. I have tried all the trouble shooting tips they
dont work either. Most time i close the tray and it says reading then the disk drive stops spining and it says open tray. Some times it starts to read it and starts to load the game then I get the disk read error. some time it will actually start to play
and I get the disk read error. i am on my second game disk.

I can understand that part. but an install is pretty much the entire game except the disk is required. most of my games will start up. the disk is still good enough. if I were to borrow a friends game and install it I can still use my scratched game to play.
I wouldn't mind if I still need the disk because all the Xbox needs to play an installed game is to recognize the disk
