mortardom achievement

Is this achievement glitched? I played on heroic, and hijaked the first wraith then proceeded to destroy 4 other wraiths through out the stage and nothing. I died a few times between wraith kills did that mess it up? Also there was a marine in the wraiths
secondary gun but I know it was my shots that took out each wraith. Im pretty pissed right now because it too a good 30 mins to get that first wraith and all of it was for nothing. Unless I did something seriously wrong I'm not trying this again as I feel
I have already earned the achievement even if the game wants to be a jerk about it.

What happened to hijacking heavy vehicles?

Not in my experience... even in campaign all you can do if you board a wraith is destroy it, either by melee or grenade. BTW, this turned a certain achievement... Mortardom, I think into nothing more than an exercise in frustration and ridiculousness that
I finally gave up on.

In campaign, the best way to take a Wraith is to kill the gunner and hop in the gunner seat. This will cause the driver to get out. Then you just kill the driver, get out of the gunner seat and hop in the driver seat.

Have to tell you though, doing it on Heroic is no hardship so go and do it again.

I just got it which is funny because Im pretty sure the marines in a warthog stole one of the four kills from me. Oh well I earned it the first time so I don't feel like I cheated
