Mortal Kombat 11 cannot add local second player

I’m new to Xbox but I cannot seem to be able to add a second player in Mortal Kombat 11 . I select X to add second player but when hitting A nothing happens, no matter what I do. I have tried restarting console, adding guest user, creating a new profile and nothing. Any ideas?

That actually solved the issue thank you so much. I was playing on the cloud and I ended up installing game and it WORKED!!! You the best !!

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Once you launch the game using the first player controller, kindly sign in on a different account using the second controller before clicking the "add the second player".

Hello, thank you so much for your help. I have tried your recommendation and still the controller does nothing. I also tried adding guest account and nothing. When, I switch to P2 and press A nothing happens

What is the Mortal Kombat 11 beta?
