More evidence points to Halo 2 anniversary edition

Speaking with GameZone Steve Downes, the voice of Master Chief, hinted that Halo 5 probably won't come out in 2014 but goes on to say, "I wouldn’t expect anything until 2015. What you can look forward to this year is an anniversary edition of Halo
2."

This would make a lot of sense as it would give Halo 5 a three year development cycle and seeing as Halo 2 released back in November 2004 it would be fitting to release an Anniversary edition this year. He didn't specify what console it would be developed
for (here's hoping for a beautiful Next-Gen version) however, this backs up the original leak on NeoGaf that stated there would be a Halo 2 anniversary edition. Thoughts?

So I mean I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the remake a Halo 2 Anniversary edition at some point as well.

If you haven't already heard, the Halo 2 remake rumours have been confirmed, and we don't have long to wait now. Best of all though? It's coming as part of The Master Chief Collection bundle, which includes the Halo 1 anniversary edition, Halo 2 anniversary edition, Halo 3&4 and a beta for Halo 5.

All this, and only for $60? Yes please!

I would love for the Halo 2 anniversary edition to be available on 360, despite this possibly being the killer app for XB1.

 

The Halo CE anniversary edition on 360 was great, all the original gameplay with shiny new graphics. Would love to have an anniversary edition Halo 2 for the 360.

 

I loved playing Halo 2, being able to use a weapon in each hand, and also playing as the arbitor, made it a unique experience, I hope they can make it for all formats.

 

I much preferred Halo 1 but if this was remade I wouldn't turn it down. I'm a sucker for Halo :/

 

Why rehash old material? They should do something different with the Halo series like exploring new genres.I would love to see Halo in an XCOM type game or maybe as a card game like Magic the Gathering.

 

Halo Wars and Halo 2 are the only Halo titles I've never played. I wouldn't mind playing an HD remake of Halo 2 if it came to the Xbox One.

 

I think Master Chief needs a nemesis other than the Covenant.Maybe another Spartan who has gone rogue and is just as hard to kill as he is.

 

Try something new with Halo? Ever heard of Halo Wars or Halo Spartan Assault?

 

I wouldn't mind seeing an update Halo 2 for the xbox one or xbox 360, after all it was the game that put Xbox Live on the map back in the day. I just hope all the original features like clan support and voice masking stay intact.

 

It irritates me that 343 would be making money from Bungies work.I know MS owns Halo and can do whatever they want but its not the point.

 

I would probably pick up the remake but I am against remakes.

 

I just find it interesting that this is going to be the exact same situation as it was with Halo 1: Halo 2! Halo 2! HOW GOOD IS HALO 2?!?!?!!???!!?!?!?!?!?

.... and then they'll probably use H4's Multiplayer, unless H5 is out by then.
