Monitor with a crosshair option

Disclosure: I don't know anything for certain as, until 5 minutes ago, I wasn't even aware these were around. I am also not a lawyer.

My personal opinion (based on what I have read) is that it is not against the TOS. Firstly, I don't see huge companies like Dell and Asus knowingly selling products that could lead to their users getting banned from platforms.

Secondly, on the Microsoft Store, you can install Crosshair apps to use...if MS are allowing apps like that on their store, then I can't see it being a violation. As long as whatever is being used doesn't mod the game illegally etc.

Having said that, there could be some argument for saying it violates the following part of the Xbox Community Standards:

"Use specialised software to gain unfair advantage over other players"

Although, technically, you are not using software as such in the manner hinted at. There will likely be plenty of differing opinions on this....hopefully someone with more conrete knowledge on the matter will visit and offer their opinion

These crosshairs are built into the displays themselves. There is no way anyone would know you're using it. Most gaming monitors have them, as does mine.

That's not an aimbot. There is a private match option where you can actually choose to have everyone's crosshairs that small. Definitely not an aimbot.

It depends on what you mean by custom crosshairs.

If you are using the in-game settings to create your own crosshair then no, as this is made for you to be able to do.

If you are using a monitor that has a crosshair inbuilt (like an MSI monitor for example, I use theirs a lot) that is also not bannable. The Xbox team would not be able to detect that anyway, and it is not directly manipulating game code or hardware.

If you integrate a custom crosshair using mods or exterior software like a USB with scripts then yes you are liable to be banned as these are not meant to be integrated into the system. Not only does this risk your system's safety (could have a virus or be unknowingly intensive for the machine) it also risks the integrity of the games you are playing and the Xbox platform as a whole. These can be easily detected through the operating system of the Xbox or the anti-cheat of the game you are integrating the mods into. It could lead to a ban on your game-specific account as well as a big ban on your account as a whole or a permanent ban depending on severity.

But goes to a scoped view for precise shooting. And if it is similar to GRAW2 MP options, you will have the option to switch to old school first person view with just a crosshair on the screen.
