    Hello. Could anyone tell me what are the specs I should look into when buying a monitor, so that it can be used for playing Fortnite on Xbox series S at 120fps?
    I have recently acquired a monitor for which I was able to set 120Hz refresh rate at 1080p on Xbox setttings.

    However on Fortnite I did not get the menu option to choose for 120fps.

    Which means that monitor was not ok, hence my question.

    I think it is not the case, though. Monitor is Philips Evnia 24M1N3200ZS/00.

    I must admit that I am not an expert, so maybe I am wrong.

    Luckily I am able to send it back.

    Also wondering if a high speed HDMI cable would help? Do not necessarily want to send it back, if this would work I would be more than happy.

    Shar is the make and model of your monitor?

    The majority of them claiming high refresh rates don't support them without a computer. using display port

    We totally understand that you want to play Fortnite on higher FPS and resolution. However. the Xbox Series S does not support 1440p resolution at 120fps for Fortnite. The maximum resolution supported by the Xbox Series S is 1080p at 120fps. However, you can still enjoy playing Fortnite on your Xbox Series S at 1080p and 120fps.

    the series consoles are fussy on monitors, 144hz but must support 120 also. but the majority of games wont run 120fps only a select few on the s. also get a monitor with freesync as that will help when frames drop alot which they will.

    Xbox One S does not support 120Hz. Only Xbox Series S and X support 120Hz, and 120fps is available in select games, including Fortnite.
