Money transferred into child’s account I need a refund because of tight financial situation

you can indeed transfer money from a parental account to a child account, can be done accidentally too, not sure if there is a way to transfer back as child account cannot transfer money.

So i recently had my child go on my account and buy virtual currency on NBA 2k23. He was not allowed to purchase $100 on my account and he did anyways. I requested a refund and yet was denied. I really need this money back because I have car payments due very soon and am very close to not being able to pay it, because of this mistake my child made. Did your son spend any of the in-game currency at all? If they used any of it at all then that would be one reason the refund would get denied.

In this case, you have two options, my friend. You can either talk to your bank or financial institution and ask them why the money that returned to your account is not there anymore. Or, you can talk to Xbox support and see why the refunded money is not showing on your bank account anymore.

Did you - or the child, actually - use your credit card to pay for the order? Sometimes the money will get back to your credit card as a refund on the next credit card invoice, and not to your bank account. Refund requests will always return the money to the payment method used for the purchase.
