Mojang Post-Migration Error

Hello, I loaded up Minecraft today to discover that I have the exact issue that you had, and with only four days until the final deadline. I had no knowledge of this event. I have owned Minecraft Java Edition for many years but had no played it recently. I have attempted to do the post-migration process using all different combinations of accounts and emails because Microsoft is a tangled mess of accounts. I am seriously about to tear my hair out if, after all of this strife, it deletes my $40 game.

The most recent thing I tried was creating an entirely new gmail and Microsoft account and then connecting that as the microsoft account that MC Java would be transferred to through the post-migration process, but no luck. This is the only forum I have found where someone had a similar issue. Did this issue persist for you, or was it resolved in the end? Please let me know if there's any advice you can give. Sorry for the frantic tone earlier, I'm not very happy with Microsoft right now.

Unfortunately, the deadline for migrating your Minecraft account to a Microsoft account with entitlement to Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition has passed. The migration process was open until May 10, 2023, and accounts that were not migrated by then are no longer eligible for the free Java Edition entitlement.

If you purchased Minecraft before the migration deadline, you will still be able to play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. However, you will no longer be able to claim a free copy of Minecraft: Java Edition.

I have sent Minecraft Support two help forms and both times they said the following,

As of September 19, 2023, Minecraft Support is no longer able to assist with Mojang/Minecraft log-in or other account-related issues as account migration has ended.

If you have migrated your Mojang/Minecraft account to a Microsoft account and need assistance, please contact Microsoft Support.

I am urgently requesting help. I honestly seem to have lost my login information. I have my saved email and password but it's through my Gmail. Every time I press on my "manage profile" on the Minecraft launcher, I am led to a Microsoft account. And when I use that same account to sign in to Minecraft, it doesn't show me my games. I try signing in with my Gmail in minecraft.net, and I am led to the migrating page. I don't understand what is going on.

Contact Mojang Support: This is the most crucial step. Explain your situation in detail, including the purchase date, error message, and your desire to migrate despite the supposed deadline. Provide your transaction ID or any relevant proof of purchase. They have the authority to investigate your account and eligibility, potentially override limitations, and guide you through the correct migration process.

Gather your login information: Try to recall the email address you used for your Mojang account or any other associated accounts. If you're completely unsure, provide Mojang support with as much information as possible about your purchase, username, etc., to help them identify your account.

Be persistent: Don't give up after one attempt. If the initial support contact doesn't resolve the issue, try again, politely but firmly reiterating your situation and providing additional details.

Remember, you have a valid purchase and a right to access the promised entitlements. Mojang support should be able to assist you in achieving that.
