Modern warfare won’t let me search for a game with cross play turned off

I just finished downloading cod mw3 and now it won’t let me play anything it keeps saying need to purchase modern warfare 3 but I already have?!?!

My game duty modern warfare is when I turn it on it says please install multiplayer but I already installed stalled all the packs it and it won’t let me play Online idk why The other day I was playing online I don’t know what happen unless they’re updating

Thanks for letting me know my prior solution didn’t fix the issue. I do have some further strategies to try:

1. Launch Call of Duty and go to the Options menu.
   
2. Scroll over to the Account tab on the right-hand side of the screen.
   
3. You will see an option for Crossplay. By default, it is enabled. Disable it to only play with other players on the same platform.
   
4. Please note that crossplay can’t be changed while searching for a lobby. Your friends on other platforms also won’t be able to join your party if you have crossplay disabled. It isnt Mircosoft's problem that other people with either a PC or PS4 can read your information. If the game has cross platform try and turn that off so there is a lower chance of your information getting leaked. Personally I've played Call of Duty Modern
Warfare and used to play Fortnite and had no problem with my information being leaked.
