    Modding Among Us and other games


    Hey I downloaded Among Us from the Microsoft Store and want to mod it for fun. I have given myself permissions and followed every tutorial I could find. I need to be able to put the mod folder into the game file which is in the WindowsApp Folder. Can anyone please help me?

    You will not be able to mod Microsoft store games such as Among Us, because the WindowsApp folder is restricted meaning you can't access it. I would recommend refunding it if possible, and buying the steam version so you will be able to install mods.

    Xbox is a secure platform, unauthorized mods are impossible, and given the unsavory content they often contain, and that they are unauthorized by the copyright holder (99.99999% of the time)wouldn't be allowed anyway

    When a developer submits a game to Xbox it undergoes an extensive batteries of tests to ensure the game is secure and won't compromise the system. Mod makers don't do this.

    There is a program for developer approved mods you can find on Bethesda Games and Farming Simulator among others

    One reason (among many others) could possibly be if you had your Xbox 'modded' to play international titles or illegal software. If your console is 2nd hand, the previous owner may've installed a mod chip.
