Mobile ethernet tethering to Xbox

I understand you need help with your network problem from your mobile phone to the console.

If I may ask, are you not able to use hotspot instead to connect your Xbox wirelessly?

Ethernet tethering would actually depend on your phone and it would be best to reach out to your manufacturer for questions about using that feature.

The console is also best connected to an internet router to get the best connection most especially when downloading games and getting updates.

Since USB tethering would require specific networking drivers for USB, that are not present on the Xbox One, you would NOT be able to use USB tethering on the Xbox One.

The only way is to use your phone's WiFi Hotspot feature.

If that produces interference with your microphone, try moving your phone a bit, or use a different microphone.

Or maybe your phone provider can give you a small travel router. Connect your Xbox via Ethernet cord to such a travel router, which then connects via your own SIM Card or a special SIM card for mobile internet.

You could get a wifi repeater that has ethernet ports, and tether that to the router. Never seen a router without ethernet ports

It would be useful if M made it if you could on Xbox 1 (and Xbox 360) allowed you to tether your smartphone or cell phone to your console

I don't know about the 360, but the Xbox One can connect to wireless networks, and should be able to to tether to your smartphone or mobile hotspot.
