mobil app and group calls, wrong mic picks up the sound :/

My xbox one mic have sound but my mic not picking up nothing that I said in a party!!

Tape would work on the camera but the mic would still pick up sound, as its not sound deadenr

the only problem with my X11's is the mic picks up every sound in the room,

I am having the exact same issue, my mic is being recognized but won't transmit sound. Out of curiosity do you have a kinect? Also my xbox is the original white xbox one. I can hear party voice and in game voice, but my mic picks up nothing. The companion
app prior to streaming picks up my mic when active. I've seen complaints going back 4+ years for this issue and I haven't seen a single working fix other that messing with what apps are allowed to use the mic, which I verified is set up correctly for me.

Hey I copied and pasted everything below from a previous thread, I'm not sure if this will help you but I posted this anyway doesn't hurt to try. In the 3rd link below there is a YouTube video for two products that I have, one of the products is a Mic(female)
and audio(female) to Male Y splitter that I'm pretty sure will work with your Turtle Beach headset. All you should have to do is plug the white jack into the mic part of the Y splitter and the green into the headphone jack of the Y splitter and then the male
into the Xbox one stereo headset adapter. I can't make any guarantees but I'm almost certain that if you get that Y splitter it will work with your turtle Beach headset and you should be good to go, hope this helps.

It's because the adapter and the headset your using are 2 different standards, the Adapter is CTIA while your Headset is OMTP there are CTIA to OMTP /or OMPT to CTIA converters(either one will work) you can get from any Tech store RadioShack, BestBuy, etc.
or online at Amazon or eBay.

Also if like me you have Actual Headphones(w/ a detachable cable)(NOT earbuds) such as Beats by Dr. Dre(any model) or other brand and want to use your Beats or other but want a better quality Mic that doesn't pick up cord russel or rubbing sounds from your
clothing or skin because like many brands it has a cord with an in-line remote/Mic.... Below is a link to the other option I went with in this YouTube video showing what you'll need and how to use it, the items info is in the description. I got both items
off of Amazon for $15.46 w/Free 2-day Shipping with a Free 30 day Trial membership to Amazon Prime, which is way more reasonable then buying the single dedicated use XBOX One Stereo Headset for $90. But like the converter I mentioned above you can also get
