missing Xbox video credit

Hi,

I have received both an e-mail on my e-mail account and an message on my inbox account about a credit from

Xbox video to be deposited to my account on Nov. 12

I have not seen anything deposited on my account, or any credits available towards movie rentals or purchasing.

What were the messages all about?

Missing promotional £5 credit from xbox video.

I got a message from xbox live on 13/11/2014 saying: " You recently may have had issues using xbox video. We apologise. This issue has been resolved. Come back to xbox video and enjoy a movie on us! Be sure to use the promotional credit of £5 We deposited
to your account. The credit expires 2/2/2015" My current balance is still £0.00- is this a real message or some hoax/phishing stunt? If genuine, how do i claim/spend it? cheers!

The Xbox Video credit should have been deposited in early October. I recommend heading on over to
commerce.microsoft.com and check for the deposit there. Be sure the date filter includes October 2014.

Post back and let us know if you don't see the deposit on that page!

 

well, let's begin by saying that I do not see the credit in my account ... but, no, it does not appear on that page either ...

 

I suggest contacting our chat or phone support agents through our
Contact Us page and have them take a look at your account. Ask them to check if you have received that credit.

 

Ok well what happens if someone uses all but .02$ of that credit than gets an message in november and December saying you have a 6.00 credit for the same thing but doesn't appear in your account?? Was that credit just for the October incident or is that
credit that should be in ones account??

 

Hey there, BurningMarlin6! That credit was just for October. If you are receiving emails, this is because the content purchased with the credit was not in Xbox Video. There should not be more credit than what was received in October, only reminders that
you should be spending it. I hope that helps clear things up for you. :3

 

Well, the chat support people told me to contact you in the forums. They could not do anything about it, because it was a promotional thing, they said.

And the 3.4 dollars deposited in the account around that time, was from my Xbox live rewards, not from the Xbox video, which should have been $7:00, not $3.4.

And guess what, I have just received a new message today, with another 7.00 that may not get in my account either.

My question is this: why are you guys bothering people with the messages + e-mails, when nothing shows up afterwards.
