Missing worlds?

Thank you very much, I have asked probably 5 different people on help with Microsoft and no one has mentioned realms. Lovely. Every single one has said no, the cloud, one even went into a lovely un needed explication on what a cloud is.

So unless I pay the $8 a month I lose access if I change computers?

For you to have this save, you need to have Realms on your account.

With this subscription, you can upload your world to the cloud and then it will be available on all platforms

I'd already tried that one-hadn't worked. I have, however, figured out how to fix it now; I had to paste the level.dat and level.dat_old files from a new world into the old one and it fixed it. I'll mark this as solved now, sorry about that
