Missing stereo output from MS Headset in Xbox Windows app

Hi All

I use this headphones

with my windows 10 laptop

When i want to play on cloud via xbox app i don't have sound until i change output to

and this output is use for communication have low quality sound.

this list of output in windows system

As you can see there is a high quality output (red bar)

but now check the same list in the Xbox app

"Stereo" output is missing and when i use this output in system i don't have sound in cloud games via xbox app

This would fix the problem but it wont if you are using the headset wireless to chat in a party on xbox app or other apps and listen to game audio/music at the same time, unless you use the xbox wireless adapter you cannot use the stereo on the xbox wireless headset for both chat and gaming.

This is a feature of using this headset on windows (not experienced it with any others), even though you can join a party on the mobile app and listen to music or play a game without this problem at all.

only ways around being able to use the headset in stereo on windows pc while having chat/calls is to either plug it in via usb c or buying the xbox wireless adapter

We understand that you are trying to enable stereo for your Xbox Wireless Headset. Let us check on this together so you will get back to gaming.

Please try to check the steps below:

Kindly close Xbox app.
In your Windows taskbar (where you have taken your second screenshot) right click on sound icon and select Sounds.
Go to Recording tab, right click the blank space and tick Show Disabled Devices (leave as is if it is already ticked). Kindly locate the Stereo Mix in the list, right click and enable it.
Select Apply and Ok to save changes.
Relaunch Xbox app and see if the Stereo is enabled.

I'm looking into getting a headset for my X1 and since the controller only outputs stereo does anyone know if there is a difference in sound quality with the MS headset vs the TB X07's and Polk 4Shots? or enough of a difference to justify the $80 difference
when you compare them to the MS stereo headsets?
