Missing Starfield Save Files

I have also copied and pasted the entirety of the Old Mars and Constellation folders into the Starfield folder (overriding any files). Game still boots fine but still states the two DLCs are missing when I launch a prior save.

Firstly, have you checked if your save files are stored in the cloud? If you have enabled cloud saves, your save files may be stored there instead of on your console. To check this, please follow these steps:



1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

2. Select "Profile & system" and then "Settings".

3. Select "Devices & connections" and then "Storage".

4. Select "Manage storage" and then "Console storage".

5. Look for the Starfield game and check if your save files are stored in the cloud.



If your save files are not stored in the cloud, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:



1. Restart your console and try launching the game again.

2. Check if there are any available updates for the game and install them.

3. Uninstall and reinstall the game.

4. If you have an external hard drive, try moving the game to the external hard drive and see if the save files are still missing.

I am afraid i am stuck on step 3. When i go to Devices & Connections there is no Storage option. If I go to System there is a Storage devices option but that does not seem correct.

Is there any other way to access the cloud storage area? I feel like for Xbox Series its not an option, unlike on Xbox One.

For this kind of issue, we really highly recommend to directly contact the game studios or Bethesda support team. They have the right tool and visibility with the game's server and they might give you a work around with your concern.

I am sorry that this happened to you with the Starfield data, I will do everything possible and everything in my power to be able to offer you my help and a possible solution.

To fix this issue, follow these steps:

1. Check your Xbox storage and make sure there is enough space for the game and its save files. You can do this by going to Settings > System > Storage. If you need to free up space, you can delete some unused games or applications or move them to an external hard drive.

2. Check your save files and make sure they are not corrupted or incompatible. You can do this by going to My games and apps > Starfield > Menu button > Manage games and add-ons > Saved data. If you see any files with a yellow exclamation mark or a red X, it means they are damaged or incompatible and should be deleted. You can also try deleting the reserved space file, which is used for updates and patches.

3. Check your Xbox Live account and cloud sync settings. You can do this by going to Settings > Account > Sign in, security and password. Make sure you are logged in with the correct account and that your password is up-to-date. You can also go to Settings > System > Backup & transfer > Sync my settings and make sure cloud sync is enabled.

If none of this works, unfortunately there is no way to restore an old Starfield save file. They may have been overwritten or permanently deleted. However, you can still start a new game and enjoy its features and content.
