    Missing setting refresh rate according to video frame rate


    Apps for video playback (like Netflix, Plex, HBO, Viaplay and so on) does not set the refresh rate of the TV according to video frame rate. I know it is possible to do this, since the Blu-ray app from Microsoft does it. When I contact Netflix and Plex they
    say it is not possible, since Microsoft doesn't allow apps to change system settings. Is this correct? If so, can you please change this ASAP, so we can enjoy videos the way it's meant to be enjoyed?

    How to Run Xbox 360 Games at 60 FPS?

    Refresh rate and frame rate are two different things. HDMI does not make everything run at a frame rate of 60FPS.

    Refresh Rate: Refresh rate is the number of times per second the HDTV will redraw/update the picture on screen. Most sets on the market today offer 60hz (60 frames per second) or 120Hz and 240Hz even 400Hz refresh. Movies display at about 48Hz in theaters
    but video game consoles can take advantage of the faster refresh rates.

    Input Lag: Response time is key for video game redraw. Ensure that you look for a set with a very low lag time, unfortunately this is not one of the features that is well advertised by most HDTV makers.

    Any update on this? Cheap media players like WDTV Live! sets refresh rate according to video framerate, why doesn't Xbox One allow apps to do this? For me this is an absolute requirement for a video playback device, if it doesn't support this, I need to
    find something else to use. Please fix this!
