missing progress content

I was using xbox with xbox live. I get the same result of no cloud storage when I log in to Snake Pass on my PC - no record from the cloud. I think this may have happened when there was some kind of problem with xbox live. If there is any way to get the
lost data from my console, that would be great, but I don't know how to do that.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are inquiring on how to recover the save data of your game.

In regards to this on the Xbox One, save data is stored in two separate places:

1. Your local storage [that is inaccessible via normal means] which you will use if you are not connected to Xbox Live. This will also sync up with the cloud storage the next time that you connect to Xbox Live and thus overwriting any save data on your console.
2. The
   Cloud storage is what you use every time you are connected to Xbox Live. This allows you to take your save data anywhere and syncs up every time you close a game properly.

That being said, unless you were playing on another account, your save data should sync up and let you pick up where you left off, or if you manually deleted this save data from the cloud, then you would no longer have access to recover
it.

When the console turns on, you will sometimes momentarily see a "Syncing data" screen, if you cancel this, its possible that you might not be using your save data. However the next time you launch the game, its possible you will see
the option to overwrite this save data or keep your old one.

Where you on a different account or were you not connected to Xbox Live when you recently launched this?

Hey there! What content does it say specifically that you are missing? Does it prompt you to download anything? Also, what happens if you try to load up the progress from where you saved?

Remember that cloud and local storages save game progress even the current levels of your game if it's a campaign. However, in case we are referring to levels or digital contents/add on of a specific game that are missing then you will still need to contact
the game developer.

@babies No I do not agree with you about the "From Ashes" dlc which is what I said a very long time ago. From Ashes as you put it was cut content essential to the game. I don't see it any different then missing Vincent or Yuffie or both in Final Fantasy
VII. If you miss them the game still progresses and finishes without them.

I'm critical of the content locked behind the pay wall that I cannot receive for free. Even if I buy new. If I can get said content for free with a new purchase then its all irrelevant to me.
