Missing Pirate After Account Xbox Account Linking

I have been playing sea of thieves for a while throughout steam and have left the game for a while yesterday I tried to log in and it asked me to link my steam with my microsoft account when I did that and logged in, it asked me to create a new pirate although I already have a character and I also have a progress with more than 20+ hour in this game and I have purchased a lot of things through the game where did all that go??!!!! Please tell me this can be fixed and that my progress and purchases can be restored cause it ruined my entire day!!!!!!!!

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. I understand that you are missing some games after switching over to a new Xbox One. A very common scenario we see a lot with this issue is owning the missing games on a different account. It's possible that
other accounts own those titles, and those accounts were game sharing them to the console via "Home Xbox."

If you did own the games that are missing, you would be able to verify in these 2 places:

Microsoft account order history

My games list Xbox

Let us know if you can find your games on either of those links.

to be fair if id had been hacked i think it would have been on world news it will only be a few people who have not looked after there personal details its easy to get hold of someones account if you know there email thats all you need these days www.guardian.co.uk/.../xbox-live-security-alert-playstation-network-hack
<this link says its people using hacked xbox's that have got online after they have been banned and playing pirated games its all alot of fuss over nothing
