    Missing Minecraft saves


    Hello everyone. My Xbox One presented me with an error in which the only way to repair was to factory reset the Xbox One. Before doing so, I backed up everything to an external hard drive. I factory reset my Xbox One. Loading some games - Just Cause 3 as
    an example - I found my saved data in tact. However, the previous Minecraft saves were gone. I was under the impression that this data was saved in the cloud. Is this not the case? If not, I've lost several hundred hours in gameplay.

    As stated, missing saves within the game itself if not appeared after console troubleshooting would be handled with more than likely better help being provided by the Minecraft team at their Mojang

    I have been playing HALO 3 for several days now and it's been working fine. Today, I setup a LIVE account. When I tried to start my game again, I was given the option to "Start" a game not "Continue" my game. Is all of my hard work over the last several
    days gone?!?!? I am new to Xbox, and I'm afraid that I've screwed it up.

    Minecraft Windows 10 edition didn't start, deleted my worlds

    How to recover missing Minecraft world:

    1. Click the start button and search %appdata%.
    2. Find and enter the .minecraft folder.
    3. Find the saves folder and right-click it, there should be an option called restore previous versions.

    From the sounds of it you created a new account for Live instead of promoting your old one.

    You promote offline accounts by signing in to it, pressing the guide button (the big silver one) and then choosing the Join Xbox Live option.

    If your new account is automatically signing in you can access the old one by again pressing the guide button and pressing X to sign out. You'll now see the option to Sign In and how many profiles there are on your console. Select that option and you should
    be able to access your old account again and promote it to Live access if you wish.

    All saves are locked to the profile they were made by, so using your old account is the only way to access that progress.

    Hey steven, sorry you're missing your Minecraft world! I understand how concerning that must be.

    What version of Minecraft are you playing (i.e. Java, Bedrock)?

    It's possible that your PC installed some updates that might have changed the directory to the Minecraft world saves.

    Press Win+R and in the Run window type %tmp%, an Explorer window will open. Look in that folder for a folder named minecraft.

    Let me know which version you're playing and I can help you more.
