Missing memory

If you've run multiple virus scans, including a factory reset, and still see a significant amount of unaccounted memory usage in Task Manager, it's likely could be a driver issue, a poorly written application, or a hardware problem.

Please review Startup Programs. Open Task Manager, go to the Startup tab, and disable any unnecessary startup programs. This can help free up memory.

And then adjust virtual memory. Go to Settings > System > About > Advanced system settings > Performance Settings > Advanced and adjust the virtual memory size.

Next is to update driver. Kindly make sure that all your drivers are up to date, as outdated drivers can sometimes cause memory issues.

After that, kindly update your Windows PC by selecting Start , go to Settings Update & Security Windows Update > select Check for Windows updates.

This is Xbox support not generic PC support. we have no ability to examine your machine remotely and you need to take it to a local computer repair shop

Ok so I did go through and delete everything manually from my 360's "Memory Unit" (still have no idea what that is) and the gamertag is gone and so far nothing is missing from my games or is any updates missing (I also removed my hd and memory cards as precautions).
Anyone have any ideas on this memory unit thing?

To be clear, Babe, is your saved data for that game currently missing as well? You can find out by accessing your memory device under 'System Settings,' and checking that specific game folder. If it is missing, I'm afraid that would explain where your rank
and progress got off to, as those items are stored in memory, rather than online. What kind of memory device are you using currently?

There is a portion of that memory that is allocated for system updates and such. Don't worry, you won't miss it much.
