Missing Game Box in microphone settings

Thanks for your reply. It looks like this is a broader issue with the app—I'm seeing the same error message (screenshot attached).

When I click on my name in the left hand corner. Settings/audio. It shows a pic with a sad face. At top it says Game Bar is needed for voice chat. What i click on win-g. Click on the speaker. It shows under voice. Windows default input/headset microphone (xbox controller) with a check after it. And when I say anything the bar moves right and back to left. And the setting widget says mic is on.

Just to clarify, are you having trouble using your mic specifically in Xbox Game Bar? If you are seeing an error message, could you share that here?

When you mentioned the Game Bar is missing under Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone, I think that is as expected. I also don’t see Game Bar listed there on my end either (Windows 11 Pro). Typically, mic access for Game Bar is controlled through the Xbox toggle in that same menu.

Sorry, I have windows 11 computer.

there is no power options option in the Kinect settings. All I have is "Kinect on" and "Use Kinect microphone for chat". Am I missing something?
