    Missing at least one game license


    I tried to play Stardew Valley today and it was missing from my installed games. Went to 'Full Library' -> 'All Owned Games' and it was missing from that list too. Navigated to the game in the store and it wants me to purchase it again. Had my son, who I gameshare with, try to pull it up and it shows up in his library. He downloaded it and it launched right away.

    Maybe this isn't related to being an Insider and it is just a profile issue? I reported the problem and I'll contact support tomorrow, but just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

    Yeah I got 99.99% of my licenses that were missing back. Only one I see missing is Nuts and Bolts but no one cares about that game lol

    There are things you cant do without the disc in the console. It needs to be there to verify that you actually own the game to perform updates and other tasks. Im not 100% sure this is whats causing your problem but it is very possible.

    I had the disc in the drive the whole time. I was playing single player mode when I got the invite to play online when it told me I needed to insert the disc into the console as the license was missing. When this happens, apparently the Xbox one quits
    the game, restarts the game in multiplayer mode but my xbox one never made it that far. It said it took to long to start and I needed to insert the disc. Again, the disc was in the drive the whole time. Something with the OS is going wrong when it tries
    to join a multiplayer game from a single player mode within the same game. This is all a guess but seems to be what is happening.

    When purchasing any Content (Full Game or Game Add-ons) via Digital Distribution a License is applied to two Locations. The Profile/ Account that purchased the Content and the Console (Console ID) it was purchased on and first Downloaded to.

    If one or the other does not exist the other can "vouch" for the missing License.

    For example, if Content is still on the original Console ID that the Content was purchased on it does not need the Profile that purchased the Content to be on that Console and any Profile will have Access to that Content.

    Now, if the Profile that purchased the Content is on a different Console ID it (Content) was purchased on it will require that Profile and that Profile only to have Access if the Profile is Signed-In to Xbox LIVE.

    If no Connection to Xbox LIVE is possible along with not being on the original Console ID the Content was purchased on, neither License is present and the Content will not be accessible.

    If the OP (or anyone else) is having a problem with Content and the License not associated with a Console ID they are trying to use while Offline, they will need to complete a License Transfer and Download that Content again (with the Profile that purchased
    it to begin with) on the "new" Console ID. Content Game Add-ons will not Load to a Console without at least one of the above License. A Game Save File will not operate or Load with Content that has no valid License on either the Profile or the Console ID.
