Missed the games with gold game "Thief" by a matter of hours

Hello. I am after getting off with Xbox support who directed me here telling me the issue would be resolved. Unfortunately I had forgot about thief until yesterday, the last day to
get it for free. But yesterday I had to travel down the country to Dublin for my sister's birthday. By the time I returned home it was July the first and the deal was no longer available.
I think as I only missed it by a matter of hours and that I had been an Xbox Live Gold member for over three years now, it would only be fair to give me the game. Thank you.

Xbox live still says I am silver and lets me play online, but won't let me get the free game?

Free Games With Gold - NOT FREE

Sorry to hear you had this issue. However, the free games for Gold that I have got were free. As a matter of fact, I am downloading Thief at this moment and it was a free Games for Gold selection.

 

Sorry but if you missed downloading the game for free then you will have to pay now if you still want Thief.
