    I use my Xbox everyday, and was constantly checking for messages from Xbox regarding the console pilot. Well, about a week ago I got to thinking that it was weird that I was receiving messages regarding that I had not been chosen this go round, and then suddenly I wasn't getting those messages anymore. So I go to check my messages from Xbox, and to my absolute utter horror Xbox HAD chosen me, but I missed the message because at the same time they had sent me a long "Now playing with Xbox Game Pass" message that completely hid the other message that I had been selected. I feel very cheated, and saddened that they would send them both at the same time because how was I to know that when it said new message from Xbox upon opening it that I was supposed to scroll up, and see that I had been selected? It will always make me sad now whenever Xbox messages me about new Game Pass games knowing that that's the only reason why I didn't get to purchase the Series X. I had saved up for an opportunity like this only to be let down because I do not have the funds to be able to purchase the Series X from a scalper, nor do I want to. It's very hard to cope with too because now I know my name has been removed, and who knows now when I will ever get the chance to purchase a Series X again.

    Yeah, for me sometimes it affects the messages being sent and being able to see messages and your friend's list. Mainly messages.
    Ok thanks. As long as its more of a “normal” thing that can happen. I guess it could be a glitch with the series x/s on the system now as well?

    Hi there. I own an Xbox X series and an Xbox S series. The s series for about a week has had the new update but my X still is the old dashboard. How can I have 2 Xboxs in the same household with different updates going on. If an update is being launched it should be sent out to everyone at the exact same time globally.     It sounds like the issues you are having is related to failing hard drive.

    As Shaggy2000 suggested, me and many others have a Series X with Game Pass and do not have any issues you are seeing. I would advise using an external drive to store your games for the time being if you have one. Eventually, the console will not even boot
    and will need to be sent in for repair.

    If it's game pass you interested in but don't specifically need high resolution, have you considered the Series S?
