Discus and support Misleading Name Policy in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; So at what point do I actually get to see the name I was going for?     Misleading Name Policy


    So at what point do I actually get to see the name I was going for? All games and even the dashboard show E Spooky E and not

    Ξ Spooky Ξ. What is up with showing that as an option when it literally shows this formatting on ONLY this page and none other? Given that it shows up as E Spooky E even on my dashboard doesn't suggest that it is only
    limited to old games.

    This is very frustrating to see when a little more honesty and clarity from Microsoft would have helped me go for a normal, unique name without some dumb hash and numbers trailing behind. What's better is now they're using the pandemic to cut customer service
    jobs. I mean, seriously. The only people available for chat at the moment are for assistance in giving Microsoft money. All quality of life services are sent to the forums and "chat with a gamer." It's phone/tech support, MS. People can use their phones and
    computers at home to work.

    Terrible company.

    You can find more information about the new gamertag policy at https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/profile/gamertag-update-faq

    From that page:

    - If your gamertag uses Latin-based characters, it will show the Latin alphabet equivalent (ö will appear as o, for example). If your gamertag uses non-Latin-based characters, you’ll continue to appear
    as your previous gamertag as we transition. New players who don’t have a previous gamertag will have the option to customize how it appears in older experiences.

    -A few games released this year might support the new format, but most games won’t support it until 2020 and beyond. It may take a few years to migrate all new games over to the new gamertag format.

    So essentially, until games and other areas are fully updated, you will see E Spooky E in a lot of places.

    the Greek customer support. You will most likely get redirected to the US one , which for some reason i cannot find. Feel free to reach out to them and tell them about your problem. Hope i helped you. Maybe next time you should be more aware of the available
    symbols.

    If it's only been inactive for 2 years, I wouldn't count on it being reset any time soon, the ones initially being reset were inactive since the original Xbox era.[quote user="TheSilverShield"]
