    Hey there Basketanis,

You were right to have the USB formatted in FAT32, make sure that you are following these steps:

    1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
    2. Download the update file.
    3. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.
    4. Unzip the file. If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
    5. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your flash drive.
    6. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.
    7. Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.
    8. Restart the console.
    9. When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.

From what you've said, it sounds like you might want to make sure you restart your console with the USB drive that has the update attached. It doesn't just auto update when you insert it.

If that doesn't work for you, here's the steps to do the LIVE update like Mister Cerb suggested:

Connect your Xbox 360 console to the Internet. To learn how, please see Wireless connection or Wired
    connection .

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select System Settings.
    2. Select Network Settings.
    3. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.
    4. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.
    5. Select Yes if you are prompted to update the console software.

Also, double check what update version of the dashboard you have: Dashboard > Settings > System > Console Settings > System Info

    • We're currently on Dashboard version 2.0.16203.0
    • If you're seeing a different dash version, please let us know

Let us know how that goes and we'll go from there.

    Bonjour,

    Cordialement

    Hello
    I'm sorry but
    I just see your reply...
    1 - The mark of
    my USB is "Cibox" but
    I have used different brands,
and its size is 2 GB,
    but I also tried 5
    gb, but it still does
    not work...
    2 - Yes, I formatted
    it to FAT32, but I
    also tried in FAT.
    3 - Yes, but it's
    still not working...
    4 No, I have
    not tried by Xbox LIVE
    but I tried too with
    a cd burned with the
    last update and it still
    does not work. Think that
    this is a multimedia update
    that must be made?
    Kind regards]

    Hi there!

With frequent updates we would imagine you are part of the Insider Preview program. In this case, we recommend reaching out to the

Insider Forums for the best info on how often you should see updates.

Keep in mind that being part of the
Insider program means lots and lots of updates as it is a testing ground for new OS updates.

The only way to circumvent this is to leave the program. To do this be sure to remove the insider app from your console and the

    factory reset the console.

For a bit more info check out the programs
    FAQ.

We do hope this helps clarify how the program works a bit more and explain why you would see so many updates!

    Update problem

Hello I explain ... I have an x box one x and I had to do an update so I did the update but while it was going to check out step 2 of 3 checking the internet network to stop ...
    .

I wanted to go back to the internet but there I doubt to start the update from the beginning ...

there is no way to resume verification ???

we absolutely have to start again

    Response:

    Hi there,

I'm afraid that the update will always start from the beginning if the update stops or fails at any point during the process.

There is no option to restart the step that failed, it will always start from the beginning.

    Web translated response:

    Bonjour,

Je crains que la mise jour ne démarre toujours depuis le début si la mise jour s'arrête ou échoue un moment quelconque du processus.

Il n'y a pas d'option pour redémarrer l'étape qui a échoué, elle recommencera toujours depuis le début.

    Answer:

Hi, unfortunately there is no way to resume an interrupted update, you should restart it from the beginning...

If your internet connection is not stable I suggest you to try an offline update because having internet problems during update installation could cause bad problems to the console, you can find more info here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/system-updates-solution

The support site is offline at the moment, try to verify if it works later
