Minecraft Xbox One Edition - MC Live "better together" update stopped working

I have owned my Minecraft special edition xbox one for over a year (which came with Minecraft game for Xbox One and Windows 10). I installed the Minecraft "Better Together" updated when it came out in September 2017 and it worked great until about 2 weeks
ago, now it doesn't work at all. Every time I start Minecraft Live it crashes. This issue occurs only with the Minecraft Live game and doesn't occur in the Minecraft Xbox one edition game (which is separate). I have called support and went through a hour of
trouble-shooting and reinstalled the game - still no fix. I believe the issue is with the latest Xbox console updates, however unlike computer software updates I do not have access to see updates or reinstall individual updates on console. Why are updates
hidden and not accessible on my console? A game not working for a month is inexcusable and I know Xbox could have fixed this for me weeks ago.

    :)

    Hey Xbox Gamer!

There are currently two versions of Minecraft on the Xbox One; the Xbox One Edition (which is no longer supported but remains playable if you own it) and the "Better Together" which is the version that has the cross platform feature. Late last year we had
a promotion in which if certain criteria was met, owners of the Xbox One Edition would receive a digital copy of the Better Together Minecraft. This is no longer valid, but we still have an article with the details of the offer at Minecraft
    “Better Together” Update .

    From: Bedrock Edition

    "From 1.2, the
Better Together Update, all editions of Bedrock Edition no longer have the "Edition" subtitle and are renamed to simply
Minecraft. A port of Bedrock Edition for Xbox One was released along with the update, and one for the Nintendo Switch was released digitally and physically on June 21, 2018. Owners of the original
Legacy Console Edition for these consoles will be able to download the new version for free"

    A Update For Minecraft

    Hi Dylan,

Thanks for keeping us updated with your replies. If the version of Minecraft you're using on disc is the Minecraft: Xbox One edition, then to update to the new Minecraft (Better Together), you'll need to purchase the game as it is a wholly different version.
The free update from Minecraft: Xbox One edition to the new Minecraft edition (Better Together) ended on January 30th 2018.

    Minecraft Xbox One Edition

"Minecraft: Xbox One Edition" has been replaced with "Minecraft" after the Better Together update, which receives the Aquatic update. Other console specific editions are also not getting that update.

    Translating to Portuguese using bing.com/translate:

"Minecraft: Xbox One Edition " foi substituído por "Minecraft " após a atualização Better Together, que recebe a atualização aquática. Outras edições específicas do console também não estão obtendo essa atualização.

I cant update minecraft/ No puedo actualizar Minecraft

To play Minecraft: Xbox One Edition from a disc, you’ll need to install it while in offline mode on your Xbox One. Once the installation is complete, launch the game before connecting to Xbox Live again.
You’ll be able to play Minecraft: Xbox One Edition from that disc going forward, whether you are online or offline.

Minecraft: Xbox one edition cross platform not working

Currently, cross-platform only works for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition and Minecraft: Pocket Edition. Minecraft: Xbox One Edition is standalone, as far as I'm aware, and will be until the Better Together update which is to be released "this
    summer ".
