Minecraft Xbox One Edition $4.99 upgrade.

As of the date of this post, it has been 4 full days since I last played the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft with my Xbox live Gold account. I have not received any message or had a change in the price in the Xbox store for the $4.99 upgrade to the Xbox One
version. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I just wanted add to davemcfly85's post. Minecraft will be coming to the Xbox One in August. People who've already purchased a digital copy will be able to upgrade to the Xbox One version for only $4.99. This will include most DLC as well.

I am letting you know that as of today, it has been 8 days and still no change in the pricing. Any help you could provide to alleviate the matter would be greatly appreciated!

Just to clarify, are you playing the game on the same profile that originally purchased it digitally or is there another account that purchased it but has the license tied to the console you played from? Only the original account that purchased digitally
would have access to the discount.

 

Hello. Just to be concise, I have had the physical disc owned for a while. I used my Xbox Live Gold account to play for the upgrade discount for the Xbox One Version as advertised. I have gone through the faq section posted by official and have concluded
that there is nothing barring me from acquiring the discounted upgrade...that is except I am not being given the opportunity to take advantage of advertised discount.

Let's have you try removing your profile from your Xbox One, power cycle by holding down the power button for 10 seconds (or until your Xbox One turns off) and power it back on. Once your console is powered on please add your GT again and check for the game's
discount.

 

I did as instructed to no avail. The price is still showing $19.99.

I wanted to write and let you know that I hooked the Xbox 360 up and I deleted my gamer tag and account from it. While doing this I noticed that there was 2 occurrences of my gamer tag on the system. Upon further inspection when I went to delete them I noticed
that the one that was supposed to connect to the Xbox live account was "corrupted". So I proceeded to delete. I then restarted the system and deleted everything concerning Minecraft from the system. Restarted again. Then I logged into my Xbox Live account.
I then put the Minecraft disc in and downloaded the update for the game and proceeded to play for about 30 minutes. I then quit for the evening.

When I checked to see if I had received the discount from the website about 18 hours later it was there. I purchased it through the website for $4.99 and downloaded it from my Xbox One!
