    Minecraft world not syncing off of other xbox


    Hello!

    I'm working on a survival world, and I visited a friend's for the night about 2 weeks ago. I loaded my world onto his Xbox from the cloud, and when I came back to my own house after that, the world didn't sync off of the cloud and instead used the most recent save on my local. I wasn't prompted with an option to use a cloud save or to sync data, or anything of the sort.

    I then tried having him reload the world on his Xbox, save and quit, then open Minecraft again on mine and this didn't work. We did this a few times and I even had him make a copy of the world, but that copy doesn't appear either. I then tried going into Manage Game & Addons > Save Data and uninstalling my save data locally, then uninstalling the game as a whole, then having him load the world on his Xbox, save and quit, and when I reinstall and wait about 20 minutes for it to sync, it still somehow loads my most recent Xbox save and not the more recent cloud save. When my friend loads the game on my account on his Xbox, he's prompted to choose between what's on the cloud (my data with the older save) and what's on the Xbox (his data with the save we want) and he chooses the latter each time.

    Is there any way to fix this issue or any more troubleshooting/debugging I can be doing?

    Hi there Trent welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan and been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. We can try resyncing your worlds! To sync your worlds from the Xbox One Edition to Minecraft:

    Sign into your console with the account that you previously saved your Xbox One Edition world with.

    Launch Minecraft and select Play from the main menu.

    On the Worlds tab, select Sync Old Worlds if your existing games haven’t already been migrated.

    Select the world that you want to migrate and wait for conversion to complete.

    Your world will now sync to the new Minecraft when you sign in.

    In addition to world sync, certain skin pack, texture pack, and mash-up pack purchases that you made on the console will also be available when you play the new Minecraft, and on your other devices
