Minecraft world disappeared from my worlds list

While I was loading the world I kicked the power cord and unplugged the xbox, shutting it off. When I reopened Minecraft my world didn't appear anymore. I tried restarting my xbox and uninstalling the game but the world never showed up again. My internal
hard drive has saved data of the exact size file that the world was so I think the world is still there but it's not syncing with my user data. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

@butterandtoast are you sure the data saved on your hard drive? it could possibly be in there unless it was downloading before your Xbox shut off.
