Minecraft won't update! (I've already gone to the three-dots and tried to do it manually)

have you gone into the windows store, clicked the three dots top right and selected updates then select get updates, after a windows update there is usually a game update that sometimes does not auto start.

I've tried all of those already... And when I tried the USB/CD update it says that the update is already installed but yet it still won't connect to LIVE.

No, I've already tried that and it didn't work. I've cleared the cache and I've also tried to install the update from a disc. I burned the update both as an audio file and as a flash drive and it won't recognize either disc. On the "Storage" screen it shows
my internal drive as "unformatted" and I have no formatted it three times, but every time I restart my system it goes back to being unformatted. I've basically tried everything suggested in every other thread where the person is having the same or similar
issue and nothing works. Getting pretty frustrated.
