    About more than a week ago I was playing Minecraft multiplayer then after the latest update it said

    "You cannot play online multiplayer because of how your Microsoft account is set up." Then when I press fix it says "Choose the plan that's right for you." even though I bought Minecraft Deluxe Collection. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Yes, Minecraft is an online multiplayer game so if he's playing on an Xbox console, he needs to have Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Ultimate.

    Just to make extra sure:

    Are you having Game Pass Ultimate, or just Game Pass (without Ultimate)?

    If you say your sister can't play online Multiplayer, then you (or she) would need a separate Gold Membership or an upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate.

    Game Pass allows you to play the games available in the Game Pass subscription. But to be able to play online Multiplayer, a Gold subscription or Game Pass Ultimate subscription (which contains Xbox Live Gold) would be necessary.

    Minecraft and Descenders are not free games. You can play them for free if you have Xbox Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate. An Xbox Gold subscription allows you to play multiplayer games online but does not give you access to the games without purchasing them.

    Anything you buy is yours to keep and play regardless of your subscription. You won't have access to online multiplayer without Gold or Game Pass Ultimate though.

    Hi There,

    Xbox Game Ultimate which also has Xbox Live Gold allows you to play online multiplayer. Game Pass by itself won't allow that. It might be more beneficial for you just to get Xbox Live Gold for the time being.
