Minecraft won't let me log in with my microsoft account (or mojang account details) after...

I can log into minecraft either after being forced to migrate to microsoft. It says i dont own the game that i paid for years ago. This is pathetic and unacceptable!

You'll need to create and add a new account after the migration then link that account to your Microsoft account and it should work.

Since someone already posted about this I'll just add on, but can you elaborate on "Create and add a new account after the migration then link that account to your Microsoft account"?

Are you saying to create a whole new Mojang account to then connect to the Microsoft one used for migration, or to connect the Microsoft account used for migration back to the Mojang one that was used to sign in before the migration?

Hi there Vicegodwelcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I had the same issue! So, for those of you having this same problem, there is an important step that Microsoft and Mojang leave off all of the FAQs when they just inanely repeat to sign in with your Microsoft account. From the Launcher log-in page, you have to hit the button to go back to the accounts page. But then, don't click on your existing account that you want to sign into or you will just get back into the same problem loop that won't let you sign in. You have to add a new account. It is counterintuitive because you are not actually setting up a new account. But once you click to add a new account you can choose to sign in with your Microsoft account in the Launcher. Once you do that, it will automatically use the Microsoft account to log you in from the Launcher. And my worlds were there without change.
