Minecraft with new account on PS5

Based on the description you posted, it seems that you have an issue with Xbox wherein you are getting an error message that it already has a Microsoft account linked. Even after purchasing a new version of Minecraft.



By the way, A Microsoft account cannot be separated from a Minecraft account. The only choice is to buy the game once more using a different Microsoft account.

If you signed in with a new Microsoft account on your PS5, you will not be able to access your old Minecraft account that was linked to your previous Microsoft account.

To access your old Minecraft account, you will need to sign in to your PS5 with your old Microsoft account credentials. If you cannot remember your password, you can try to reset it using the Microsoft Account Recovery page.

If you are still unable to access your old Minecraft account, you may need to contact Minecraft support for further assistance. They may be able to help you recover your account or link your new Microsoft account to your old Minecraft account.

The drowned error is related to issues with your login credentials.

First, in a web browser go to account.microsoft.com and make sure your account log in is working as expected.

Then, on your PS5, go to Minecraft settings and open the Profile section and choose the option to "Clear Account Sign-In Data", then close the game. Restart your PS5, and then launch Minecraft and try signing in again with your Microsoft account.

Hi, yes it does. It shows the new gamertag. However, when I try to log in to Minecraft on the PS5 it says I already have an account linked, showing my previous gamertag.
