Minecraft Windows 10 RTX Can't Get Resource Pack

I have the same issue.

Windows 11 just built in the last few days and updated to latest Beta build.

Minecraft Windows 10 edition installed fresh this morning (after installing Xbox Insider etc. to try RTX then updating MC again).

Go into the Marketplace find some resource packs for free to try RTX.

Get them in my library, click on download, progress bar comes up at 0% and nothing happens.

Hello Restart your Minecraft client and the issue should be fixed. If not, try another version of
Minecraft.

• When you join a lobby that requires a resource pack, it does not automatically download the pack and /resource does not work for you.
• When you join a lobby that requires a resource pack and it says "Attempting to send you the resource pack", but you never end up downloading the resource pack.
• If you know how to get to your folder already, skip to step 4. If not, start by going to "Options" in your Minecraft home screen.
• Then go to your "Resource Packs...".
• Then go to "Open resource pack folder".
• Now click on the ".minecraft" in the address bar of your Folder Explorer.
• You should now see a list of folders, find the one called "server-resource-packs" and go into it.
  
• If you can't find this folder, then right click in an empty area of your Folder Explorer and click "New", then "Folder". Name your new folder "server-resource-packs". This should fix your issue, you can stop here.
• And once in the folder, delete everything in the folder.

If Vibrant Visuals is available in your solo world but greyed out in your Realm on Windows 10, it usually means the pack isn’t properly activated for everyone in the Realm. Here’s how you can fix that:

Make sure the pack is added to the Realm

On your Windows 10 device, open Minecraft and go to Play > Edit (pencil icon) next to your Realm.

Select Resource Packs, then check Active to see if Vibrant Visuals is listed.

If it’s under “Available” only, highlight Vibrant Visuals and click Activate so it moves to “Active”.

Verify everyone has the same version

On Windows 10, open the Marketplace and make sure Vibrant Visuals shows as “Owned” or “Installed.” If it’s not installed, download it.

Update Minecraft to the latest version on all devices (Xbox and Windows) so you’re all on the same game build.

Ask the Realm owner to apply the pack

Only the person who owns the Realm can activate resource packs for everyone. If your friend on Xbox already did this, double-check they used their “Edit Realm” settings on Windows 10 as well—sometimes console menus differ.

Restart Minecraft on Windows 10

After the pack is activated, close Minecraft completely and reopen it. Then join the Realm again. This ensures the game loads Vibrant Visuals from the server.

Check for conflicting add-ons or experiments

If you have other mods or experiments enabled, disable them temporarily. Some combinations can make a pack grey out in a Realm.

Go to Settings > Global Resources and make sure Vibrant Visuals is not conflicting with anything else.

After the pack is marked “Active” on the Realm and Windows 10 is updated, everyone should be able to turn on Vibrant Visuals when they join. If it’s still greyed out, have everyone make sure they’re running the same Minecraft version and that they’ve downloaded the pack from the Marketplace.

The reason for this is that Minecraft texture packs are usually downloaded as .zip or .rar files, not .jar files. It's possible that the file you downloaded is not actually a texture pack, or that it was downloaded incorrectly.

To open a Minecraft texture pack in the Java edition, you should follow these steps:

Download the texture pack from a trusted website, such as the official Minecraft website or a reputable modding website.

Once the file has downloaded, open the Minecraft launcher and click on "Options" and then "Resource Packs".

Click on "Open Resource Pack Folder". This will open the folder where your Minecraft resource packs are stored.

Move the downloaded texture pack file into the folder.
