So I've been playing a lot of Minecraft windows 10 edition with my siblings and we all want to play a custom server together (which I have pre set up on a separate computer) and now the issue is with my account. So the problem is that it won't let me connect
because "the way your account is set up" and tells me to go to the Xbox settings website. However when I go there and login with my account it redirects me to a website about changing privacy settings for your child. I have no parent account and all the links
redirect me to where I don't want to go. Is there any way of fixing this? I am also using my Gmail account if that's causing any problems.

    :)

Also, Keep in mind that once an age is set it's permanent. The system will let you change it anytime but it won't recognize the new age in the system. This is to prevent kids from just changing their ages to bypass things.

    Hi Dante,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. When you log into account.microsoft.com does it show you are in a family there or your account is a child account? If the birthdate you put on Xbox.com is under 18 you will need a parent account to change
the settings for the account. Here is a guide for
    troubleshooting changing privacy settings
    .

    Thanks,

    Brad

How do i fix the privacy for my minecraft account.

If your account is not yet of legal adult age according to the birthdate you entered when you created your account, you need the help of your parents who have an adult account.

Your parent needs to go to
    https://account.microsoft.com/family
and add your child account to their family, if not already done so.

After your account was added to the family, your parent needs to go to
    https://account.xbox.com/settings
and sign in with their adult parent account again.

After signing in, your parent should see all accounts existing in the family. Your parent then has to click on your account, and then make the necessary online and privacy settings to your account.

There are categories for "Online and Privacy", "Windows 10 and Xbox One" and "Xbox 360". Whenever a change is made under such a category, your parent has to save the setting with the button at the bottom of the category before changing to the next category.

For Minecraft, you need to be allowed to see creations made by other players and upload your own creations under Online and Privacy. If you wish to play on public servers, this needs to be set to everyone. If you only play with friends on your friend list
on Xbox Live, the Friends setting should be sufficient.

On the Windows 10/Xbox One category, you need to be allowed to join online multiplayer and play with people outside of Xbox Live.

All other settings should be set how you and your parent see fit.

After the settings were saved, you need to sign out of your account on the device you use (e.g. your whole user session on Windows 10, or if playing Minecraft on iOS or Android and the likes, sign out of the game and back in).

Now you should be able to play online multiplayer on Minecraft.

Parental email required but no details

Ok well i go to My account, then online safety settings then it goes to windows live and says "Parental Approval Required

Your parent associated with this account must enter their Windows Live ID to continue." Now the email dosen't exist anymore. So i can't really do anything here. Theres no other way for me.
