Minecraft Windows 10 Multiplayer World Timeout

I was just wondering if there's a way to alter or turn off the timeout feature for multiplayer worlds. My friend hosts one of his worlds for me and a few friends to join and when he goes away for about 15 mins, the world shuts off and kicks everyone out.

I have attempted to create an AFK spot where his character is always moving but that does not work or help.

Just want to know if it's possible of turning off this timeout feature or increase it without having to switch to a realm or server.

Thank you for posting on the Microsoft forums.

From what I could find online, there should be a setting for the host to turn off the idle timeout but I'm not sure where to find the setting or if it's not available in multiplayer worlds.

The Minecraft Xbox One Edition only works on the Xbox One Edition.

You might want to upgrade to the Minecraft (without Xbox One Edition in the name) on your Xbox. If you bought Minecraft Xbox One Edition digitally, you can upgrade to "Minecraft" for free.

Then you can import your world from the Xbox One Edition to "Minecraft" for Xbox One.

However, the Support page for Windows 10 Minecraft states: "The Windows 10 Edition does not currently support the transferring of worlds from other devices."

So you can't transfer your world between devices.

You might have to move your World to a paid online Realm server to access it. Or you might have to run your Xbox One Minecraft in Multiplayer, and connect to the running world on your Xbox One with your Windows 10 version.

But you can't have your World separately transferred from Xbox to other devices.

As I said, you can try hosting your world on a Realm server (which you need to pay for), and can then access it with Windows 10, Xbox One, Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch.

But not JAVA.

-Yes, it's Minecraft Windows 10.

-Everyone else can get onto the server fine, it's just me having issues.

-I am based in England and I believe the server location is europe.

Hey Jack,

when you login you can see the world and interact with it? do you get disconnected after a period of time or do you have to disconnect yourself?

just trying to see if it might be a timeout setting that can be adjusted, i have had a few issues with my server and people that are trying to log in from the uk, timeout settings seemed to fix it.

Also if he has the windows 10 version of minecraft he needs be signed in to his Microsoft account in game and have you on his friends list. And if things are still acting up, check you world settings if you have multiplayer allowed.
