    Minecraft Windows 10 Edition key gives me a demo?


    The key I had for Minecraft Windows 10 edition is listed as redeemed, and the game is as well, but when I try to install it through the Store it just installs a Demo, and ingame tells me I need to buy either of the collections. Am I stupid and the free key
    is for a demo or am I doing something wrong here? I have the Java Edition too but I really want to play with a friend of mine on Xbox and I need the Bedrock Edition for that, which is Windows 10 unless I'm mistaken.

    Thank you for posting on the forums.

    Any issues with the token for the Windows 10 edition received by Mojang for having the Java Edition when they were doing that promotion a while ago would need to be handled by Mojang Support. As stated by the

    Minecraft for Windows 10     article, you should contact
    Mojang Support     for any issues with the code. If the code you redeemed was a trial version, they should fulfill you with the correct code for the full game.

    I hope they can help you with this situation.

    I own minecraft "windows 10 edition" on xbox one but isn't availabile on windows 10....
    There is no "Windows 10 Edition" on the Xbox One.

    On the Xbox One, there was a "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" but that has been replaced with just "Minecraft".

    As the others already said, "Minecraft" is not a Play Anywhere title, so owning "Minecraft" on the Xbox One, doesn't give you "Minecraft Windows 10 Edition" on the PC.

    However, if you own Minecraft Java Edition on PC, you can log into your Mojang Account on PC, and can get a code for the Windows 10 Version.

    What's on your Xbox would not be the Windows 10 Edition as that only works on PC. Did they give you a code for the Windows 10 edition?

    I haven't heard of any promotions with Xbox giving the Windows 10 Edition for free with purchasing the Xbox One version. There was a free upgrade from Minecraft: Xbox One Edition to the current version which is just Minecraft.
