Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Code Says Redeemed

Last year my Mojang account was compromised and someone online that I do not know got a hold of my account info. It must have went on for a while before I found out about it while trying to log on one day and I noticed that my username had been changed.
I quickly contacted Mojang, who were very helpful, and they helped to reset my username and gave me an opportunity to change my password. Since then I have had no problems with the account until today when I remembered that I had a code for a free copy of
the Windows 10 Edition for owning the Java version but when I went to use the code the Microsoft store told me that the code had already been used. At this point I noticed that the code said activated March 27, 2017, during the period of time where that random
person had hold of my account. After noticing this I contacted Microsoft support who told me that the code had been redeemed May 2, 2017 to a Microsoft account other than my own. After some polite back and forth the support tech told me that he didn't know
what more he could do to help so he suggested I make a post here to see of the mods could help me out with the code situation. That's about everything, thanks for any help guys. -Dom

MC windows 10 redeem not working

I own minecraft so I redeemed minecraft windows 10 edition but now I don't know how to download it so it says this code was already redeemed, please help.

Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition runs specifically on Windows 10. If you would like to play Minecraft on Xbox One, you will want to take a look at Minecraft:
Xbox One Edition. If you would like to install the Windows 10 version of Minecraft on your Windows 10 PC, sign into the account that originally redeemed the code and download through the Windows Store.

It still hasn't worked. The Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition says I have to redeem a code ,but it shows up in my all owned.

If you have Java Minecraft, sign in with your Mojang Account on the Minecraft Website, and you should get an offer to redeem a code for the Windows 10 Version.

However, it was long ago since I did that, and don't know where exactly you need to go.

After you got your code, you can go to the Windows Store App on your Windows 10 PC and redeem that code in the Store App to get Minecraft Windows 10 Edition.

EDIT: It seems that you need to have purchased the Java Edition before Oct. 19th 2018 to be eligible for getting Minecraft Windows 10 for free.

download Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition for free.

Note You'll need to get a code from Mojang, the game developer, by signing in to your Mojang account before attempting to redeem your code for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition. Otherwise, you
may incur a charge. To get your code from Mojang:

Sign in with your Mojang account.
Under Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition, select the link to request a code. Microsoft Windows 10 will open.

Note You'll need to sign in to or create a Microsoft account. If you sign in, use the Microsoft account you use to sign in to your Xbox account.
If you're running Windows 10, you'll be able to download the game right after redeeming your code. If you're running an earlier operating system, you'll need to come back to Microsoft Store once you're running Windows 10.

The code you receive from Mojang will be kept on your account, in case you’re unable to redeem it straight away, or in case you have problems trying to redeem it in Microsoft Store.
