    Minecraft Windows 10 audio only working on one side


    Only recently about 12/15/20 Minecraft Windows 10 gave me audio issues. I had the Logitech G Pro headset. I started Minecraft and I went into a server. When I was in there I noticed that I could only hear on one side which was the right side. When I was
    done playing and watched a video, I still could only hear out of one side. I looked up why my headset was only working on the right side but at the time I didn't know Minecraft was the reason why that happened, I just thought that it was the wire not the headset.
    I kept searching and saw this one post that had a similar problem to me but I forgot if I was playing Minecraft at the time. Eventually I got a new wire and I tried that. It didn't work it was still broken. I looked through all of my audio settings and tried
    basically everything I could to fix it. Eventually I gave up and got a new headset. The headset I got and am currently using is the HyperX Cloud Alpha X. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now. I haven't played Minecraft since I got the new headset but
    not intentionally, I have been playing other games. Today, I thought I should play Minecraft again and right when I got into it, I could only hear out of the right side again. I tried closing Minecraft and tried to watch a video. It still didn't work. Luckily,
    unlike the other headset, when I troubleshooted and reset my audio drivers, it started working again. I have now deleted Minecraft Windows 10 and will probably never play it again. The only reason I got it was because I could play with my friends on Xbox but
    they are switching anyway. If you had the same problem as me, try troubleshooting and answering "no" when they ask you if you heard that beep. After that, they will ask for permission to update and reset your audio drivers answer with "allow" after that I
    closed out and it started working. If that didn't work like my first headset, good luck trying to fix it.

    This is not a question nor an opinion this is just to help people that are going through the same issue as me. I hope Microsoft can fix this and I hope you can fix the problem if you have it.

    But that would only be for the console, not for Windows 10. That was the upgrade from the Minecraft Xbox One Edition to what is now just Minecraft. Minecraft for Windows 10 would be a separate purchase.

    What's on your Xbox would not be the Windows 10 Edition as that only works on PC. Did they give you a code for the Windows 10 edition?

    I haven't heard of any promotions with Xbox giving the Windows 10 Edition for free with purchasing the Xbox One version. There was a free upgrade from Minecraft: Xbox One Edition to the current version which is just Minecraft.

    Hi there Sh3rk! Christopher here, an Xbox fan and been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out.

    I'll give you all other possible solutions for Sound problems. Please try them all even if you already have done so as there is a sequence. If you have any problems performing any steps I'll be standing by here to help you.

    1) Update the sound driver from the PC maker's Support Downloads webpage for your exact model, if it is newer than the one presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start button. While there compare to make sure you also have the latest BIOS, Chipset, Display, Network and all other drivers.

    2) Next try this checklist: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/402699...

    3) Right click Volume icon in System Tray, choose Sound Settings, from the Output and Input devices dropdown menus, choose then one(s) affected to see if that helps. If not use the Troubleshoot button nearby.

    4) Run the Playing Sound troubleshooter at Start button > Settings>Update & Security>Troubleshoot.

    5) Try rolling back the sound drivers in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start button. Choose Sound controller and other audio devices, then Driver tab, then Roll back if available.

    6) If no newer sound drivers then uninstall the one presently installed in Device Manager, reached by right clicking the Start Button. Restart PC to reinstall.

    7) Try other and older drivers for your model Sound controller, too. For example, try the next oldest driver in the model's online Support Downloads list. To try all previous drivers installed on your system, in Device Manager choose Sound controller's Driver tab, then Update Driver, then Browse, then Let Me Pick.

    8) If this was caused by Windows Updates then you can check which were installed at Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update under Installed Updates, then uninstall them from the link there, and hide with the Hide Updates tool downloaded from here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f2...

    9) If this was caused by Version 1809 update (which you can confirm at Settings > System > About) then you can roll back Version 1809 in Settings>Update & Security>Recovery and then hide it until it matures using the Hide Updates Tool downloaded from here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f2...
