Minecraft Will Not Sync With Cloud - Saved Games Gone :(

Hello,

I recently left the Xbox Preview Program because it was forcing a system update too frequently (average every 2.5 days). I run a Minecraft world for about 6 friends so you can see this is less than optimal.

After leaving the Preview Program all of my Minecraft saved games (our world and backups) are no longer available. Not only that, but when I first start Minecraft and select "play game" it will not sync with the cloud to retrieve my saves. I constantly
get "We couldn't get your latest saved data" and no matter how many times I click "try again" it won't sync.

I've tried my luck with official xbox support (and windows support) and unfortunately they have not been able to resolve this issue. We have poored hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of hours into this world I would hate for it to disappear just because
of leaving the Preview Program.

Here's a list of some things I've tried:

1) Factory Reset

2) Remove account / Add account

3) Wired / wireless connection

4) Power cycle console

5) Uninstall / Install Minecraft

6) Many tricks from the community when this happened to them. (ex: going to offline mode, sign out, go online, start Minecraft, then sign in profile from Minecraft menu ...this by the way, freezes my game for some reason, switching profiels from within Minecraft,
etc...).

I've read cases where Microsoft support can actually alter the saved game in the cloud and allow it to sync, I'm hoping I can find some sort of answer here. We are all very sad Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Minecraft world gone after power failure

I was happily playing in my one year old Minecraft world when all of a sudden the power went. 2 hours later I restarted my Xbox One and Minecraft and everything was fine until I came the selection of the worlds - my world was gone! I have already tried to
clear local saved games and re-install Minecraft with the hope the system would sync the game from the cloud but this did not happen. Mojiang does not provide any technical support.

Any idea what I can do to get my Minecraft world back?

Corrupted save file on console

Xbox One-Minecraft. A power glitch during save created a corrupted minecraft saved game file, unable to sync. Need to restore from the cloud or lose months of work. Any way to do that?

You might be lucky, that the cloud save hasn't been updated with the crashed world yet.

In that case, try the following:

Go to the Minecraft tile in "My Games and Apps", and press the Menu button. Choose to manage the game.

WARNING! The following steps will delete the local save storage! If the other worlds haven't been synced with the cloud, your saves will be gone!!!

So if you are willing to take that step, clear the LOCAL save storage of your Minecraft game.

DO NOT choose to delete the games from all consoles (i.e. the cloud storage)!!!

With the local save gone, start Minecraft.

The console will then try to re-sync the local saves from the cloud.

If that worked, you might have a working world from a previous save.

If the information was deleted from the cloud or the auto save feature replaced the saves which then synced to the cloud the information is then gone.

Sounds like your save got corrupted when you dashboarded. I wonder if you have a save in the cloud, has the game synced at all when you start the game? If there isnt a cloud save might just be gone.

As long as you were connected to xbox live all games make a back up save on the cloud.

If you have deleted the saves from both your console & the cloud then i'm afraid your save is gone unless that particular game saves on it's own servers as well.

It will just sync up when you start the game if there is a save on the cloud.
