Minecraft will not connect to my Microsoft account. "Invalid Session"

Minecraft will not connect to my Nintendo Switch. I get nothing but "invalid session". I've restarted the game and console 100 times, and I've made sure my console is up to date. Wifi has been working like a charm. The only help I can find online is "clear cache" which will make me lose all worlds and progress. What if I don't want to lose my worlds? (ppl have commented furthermore this only works 50% of the time). This issue has been rampant for YEARS now among us switch users.....and the only help offered is "delete cache". Is there anything else I can do to mitigate this problem? Why has this not been fixed over years of complaints and questions?

Sometimes a quick restart will fix your issue. If a simple restart isn't working, you can try log out of your Minecraft account and back in.
