Minecraft Version Refund

Hi there,

I'm wondering if I can get a refund for a version of Minecraft that was ordered by mistake. I ordered the Windows 10 version by accident and would like the Java version instead. Is it possible to get refunded for the different version of the game?

Yes its very possible you just have to get on a live chat or call to let them know what happened and it also depends on when it was purchased

There are two versions of the Minecraft Starter Collection: one for Windows (Minecraft for Windows Starter Collection) and one for Xbox (Minecraft Starter Collection).

If you purchased the Minecraft for Windows Starter Collection (which is not compatible with console), you would need to ask for a refund of it and then purchase the right version for the console.

To ask for a refund of the game, please go to:

Just sign in with the Microsoft account that made the purchase and you should be able to ask for a refund.
