Minecraft upgrade for Xbox One

I am trying to get Minecraft for the advertised price and can't get it honored. I was told not even a week ago that the game must be played on the account within 72 hours of making this purchase; which is true right at this moment. There's no start or
end to the promotion listed on the webpage, why can't I get it for this price?

Is XBOX ONE marketplace the same from XBOX 360?

Some games offer a free upgrade or reduced price to upgrade to the Xbox One but for the most part they use different programming so are not compatible.

here that you just played it a day ago. Give it a couple more days, and if you still aren't seeing the promotion then, let us know!

 

I was told that you'd had to have played the game within 72 hours of making the purchase. Then I contacted support again and I was told the promo was over, yet the page states no start or end date.

I have tried clicking the link and even with playing the game within the 72 hours, it wants to charge me full price ($19.99+ tax).
