Minecraft upgrade doesn’t work

Hi.

I have similar problem with downloading for Free but from the begin. I have try this year ago when this update come out. Try it download but couldn't as it ask me to pay. Abandoned update for while as i was frustrated about this situation.

Now In game there is still option to download for free. I have contact Mojang support team and they said:

<quote>If you have purchased the disc version of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, provided you have fulfilled the necessary criteria then you can still claim a free copy of Minecraft for Xbox</quote>

This email was send to me on 05/10/2018. I have reply to them that i still have issue and Microsoft Store still ask me to pay and there is no install option. Mojang told me to contact xbox support team but I can not find email for support on
Microsoft web page. When i try to download game last year Microsoft ask me to pay as well. Now i try to resolve this issue as this advertisement about download free copy are getting bit annoying.

Is there is a chance to resolve this issue.

I can’t update Minecraft with the new version. I nées to pay 25.99$ for that. I suppose to have the update for FREE. Thank you!

Unfortunately, if you were unable download and install the new version of Minecraft during the time that it was offered for free, then it would seem that you would have to purchase it through the Microsoft Store.

Sadly that is true. While you may have had an issue, if it wasn’t resolved then, it wouldn’t be now.

 

Sorry but you'll have to download the new version though the store.
